Winemaker's Notes:

Our Monferrato Rosso has been carefully created from blending our Barbera and Freisa wines. The hand harvested and selected grapes from our west and southeast vineyards have been washed and dried in our unique grape washing and drying machine and then fermented in contact with the skins in small temperature controlled stainless steel vats at a temperature not exceeding 24 C.

It has been aged for 7 months in stainless steel vats and delicately aged in small French oak barrels and after bottling in our elegant personalized bottles it is then aged for a further 4 months prior to being released.

It has a ruby red color with soft hints of violet. The bouquet is intensely fruity with hints of cherries, wild berries, blackberries and green olives. On the palate it is well balanced and fresh with smooth and round tannin's. It has a soft yet persistent ripe fruit after taste.

This medium bodied dry red wine is best served at 16 C to 18 C and can be enjoyed now with flavored red meat, spicy foods or medium strength cheese or it can be cellared for a further 5 years.
