Winemaker's Notes:
This wine comes from a site located above the fog line of the Santa Maria Valley, possessing a nose of lavender, white and black pepper, tobacco, licorice, dried blueberries and cocoa. Dense and weighty on the palate with flavors of raspberries, tellicherry peppercorns, plums, and a hint of espresso. These Syrah grapes were co-fermented with 2% Viognier, and aged in neutral oak, resulting in a wine reminiscent of the Northern Rhone Valley of France.
