In 1979, 20 years ago, amidst the vineyards of Girlan a new private winery emerged founded by Mr. Karl Martini and his son Gabriel. Both already had previously gained experience in several renowned businesses. However the decision to become one's own boss required courage because at that stage times were very difficult and the products were only being sold in the courtyard. Mr. Gabriel Martini induced the principle of quality from the beginning and so the demands increased and soon after the first grape suppliers were taken under contract. The spread on the national and also international markets followed. The success that has eventuated over the years confirms the sentiments of Gabriel Martini and encourages him to continue 'sticking by the hard way' of autonomy with quality products.
