Hundred Tree Hill

Victoria

Winemaker Neill Robb makes the Hundred Tree Hill wines with the goal to produce small batch, high quality, hand-made wines with 100% of the grapes sourced from the Pyrenees region.

The Pyrenees region experiences a relatively cool to mild continental climate with significant variation between day and night temperatures due to its altitude of 1,300 to 1,500 feet. This climate offers ideal ripening conditions, offering a long growing season for vine - maximizing development of flavor and complexity.

There are less than 20 wineries in the region and the principal grape varieties are Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. The Hundred Tree Hill property is dry farmed, sustainable and practicing organic, although not certified. The grapes are hand picked off of 35 year old vines grown in sandy loam. The grapes are cluster harvested and pressed and then chilled prior to fermentation.
