Reviews:

90 Points.
This set of wines (all 100% Tempranillo) from Cillar de Silos located in Ribera del Duero is impressive from top to bottom. The 2005 El Quintanal Vendimia Seleccionada is a selection of the best 50 barrels of El Quintanal which are than aged for 9 months in used French oak. This effort is more marked by the oak as evidenced in its spicy, cedary, blue and black fruit-scented aromatics. There is extra volume on the supple-textured mid-palate and enough soft tannin to permit an additional 1-2 years of evolution in bottle. This tasty wine can be enjoyed over the next 2-4 years.
