Winemaker's Notes:
This is the entry level Cabernet for Relativity Vineyards, and it is sourced from the Red Hills Lake County AVA. Red Hills is a great location for vineyards and it is still a secret so great value wines can be found there, and this bottle is a perfect example. Cabernet does very well in Red Hills because the volcanic soil and the gravel content make the vines stress to produce great fruit. Over 90% of soil in this AVA is volcanic and comes from nearby Mount Konocti. With great soil and cool temperatures, this wine has wonderful minerality and balanced acidity along with an engaging flavor profile. Blackberry and blueberry are the front of the palate which is supported by a soft tannin structure. Only 2500 cases made.
