Marche, Italy
The De Angelis estate started its life in the 1950’s in the village of Cossignano, Ascoli Piceno. The acquisition of land in Offida and Castel di Lama and the relocation of our winery in 1985, made it possible for us to age and bottle our own wines. Initially, we cultivated three historical vines: Sangiovese, Montepulciano and Trebbiano (which produce the DOC wines Rosso Piceno and Falerio). Later we added two internationally famous varietals, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, which produce two important IGT wines: Prato Grande and Anghelos, made from Montepulciano and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Faithful to our intention to produce territorial wines, our estate is a true supporter of the new DOC wines of Offida, especially after the discovery of the two historic vines: Pecorino and Passerina.
