Winemaker's Notes:
The key to this multi-dimensional complex and velvety wine is the blending of the three varietals; Malbec, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by their maturation in French and American oak barriques for 18 months.
The color is deep red-magenta with purple hues. The bouquet exhibits an array of fruits from cherry berry to peppery, plumb characters which are derived from the Shiraz and Cabernet components; the Malbec imparts an abundance of spice. The palate is full, flavorsome and rich, yet has an attractively soft and velvety finish. All of these flavors combine to deliver a wholesome mouth-feel that lingers long after the wine has been swallowed.
Reviews:
“
Rating 93.
A medium-bodied, supple wine; the varietal flavours each make a discernible contribution, without breaking the line of the wine. Even the malbec adds a touch of juiciness to the black fruits, spice and oak of the blend. Drink through 2019.
